Indeed, I assume it applies to people from the U.K. ? And it can be antigen or PCR?

Well, if it is a PCR after arriving in France from UK, no problem as the lab is not far away. May be more difficult for some though.

I cant book a test until I know if its PCR or Antigem, its much easier, cheaper and quicker to get antigen than PCR

I read it as you need to show a negative test result within the previous 48 hours to gain entry into France.

There are no free tests in the UK for travel purposes if that is what you are refering to ?

The French govt seems to have said that folk entering France from outside the EU must test either within 24 or 48 hours of arrival. It is to the cost of that test that I was referring. They used to be free but that was withdrawn and testing dropped badly.

The Connexion says......All travellers to France from outside the EU, including the UK, will need to present a negative Covid test on arrival whether they are vaccinated or not....that implies to me you need the test result prior to entry?

That’s my understanding from what is being reported. It looks like a PCR test within 48 hrs of travelling or an antigen / lateral flow in the 24 hrs before travelling. Not in force till Saturday. We should really wait for written confirmation from the French gouv.
