Thinking about it I think for diplomatic reasons they would not create a special case for arrivals from the UK but could put them on the liste rouge. Currently the restrictions for the UK are a special case which proves me wrong , they are:
If the UK was placed on the liste rouge they would become:
The "motif personnel" is a new one on me and would seem to be a get out of jail card.
The above is IMO the worst that could happen Johnny and would not prevent your visit.

And if that text is correct then I have taken my covid test 24 hours too early
I'm sure when I checked it was 48 hours before travel.

As I understood it currently, it is 24 hours for unvaxxed and 48 hours for vaxxed people, unless that has changed in the last few days?

I came back to France via the Tunnel on Monday and it was 48 hours if vaccinated. My details were all registered on the Eurotunnel site which meant no stops but the French passport control still asked if I had everything though they did not look at the paperwork. Must be my honest face!

It's still <48 hours before if you're vaccinated, which I think you are?

I have nothing but respect and admiration for anyone who can keep up with all these constantly changing rules.

Me too - I need to travel to the UK soon, but I keep putting it off because I can't be bothered with all cr*p that's involved.

France will always let you in, they think tourists run the country... I would worry about going back to the uk and having to quarantine or a lockdown situation.

I had to quarantine for a couple of days until my test result came through. It should have been 48 hours but there was a Sunday in the mix. Just frustrating but not too bad.

If you are staying with family quarantining is okay and no different to any other visit really. MIL arrives Friday afternoon so I hope she gets here without the need for more tests and procedures. Extra quarantine won't make a bit of difference.

Extra quarantine won't make a bit of difference. As with a lot of things on that island; that is stupid... Quarantine and possibly infect the "family" while you wait for test results or the incubation is finished...
