A French woman has been fined €1,200 ($1,357; £1,028) for causing a huge crash at the Tour de France by waving a cardboard sign in the riders' path.

Woefully insufficient; she should have been made to supervise crowds along the route of several if not all stages!

At least with a fine she'll be reminded financially of her mistake, a 4 month suspended sentence, as asked for by the prosecutor, wouldn't have had the same effect.
