Just to tidy up - I installed the switch today and it works perfectly. I had to leave the old one in place as it has a heap of hibernating ladybirds in it - Jakie will be disappointed though, he loves to play with it but left it 'On', hence the need to change the switch. (Jakie is a 28-year-old Irish Draft/TB horse).
Thanks to all who responded, especially Le-Dolly for the generous gift.

Out of idle curiosity, with the OP, were you seeking three possible options for the same switch?

The switch arrived safely today thank you LD- I will PM you now. p.s. As it happened we were just going out when we met our post lady, Mrs Happy, at the end of the drive. She required confirmation that Biggles lived here which caused some hilarity!
I did not know if you would notice it, I just chose it from what I was offered. Any chance of a photo of the switch ? Thanks

I took the photos this afternoon and Biggles is trying to work out how to load them onto the forum. Don't hold your breath.

As requested, photos of the switch installation. And to answer FFS those were the three options available to solve the problem caused by Jakie leaving the light on!

A much safer arrangement - but I don't think it'll take Jakie long to figure it out!

A much safer arrangement - but I don't think it'll take him long to figure it out! Jakie doesn't much 'figure things out'. He's animal of limited intellect - though adorable and very affectionate. I'm sure he turned the light bu accident on simply because it was the correct height on a post that coincided with where he liked to rub his face! Trouble is, he never learnt to turn it off again. He didn't ever fathom the last pull switch - the insides simply rusted after many years of use.

LOL! Well, my horses would have it pulled off and eaten within minutes - they never miss an opportunity to generate another vet bill.

LOL! Well, my horses would have it pulled off and eaten within minutes - they never miss an opportunity to generate another vet bill. Serves you right for having clever competition horses! Misha has passed the age of causing mischief (thought he was very good at it in his time, before reaching the grand old age of 33) and I once described Jakie to someone who was about to meet him for the first time as comical, loveable and special needs! (How are Lily and her precious cargo?)

As requested, photos of the switch installation and the stamp. The two people depicted on the stamp make interesting reading: his aircraft is a Hawker Tempest V which he flew for 3 Squadron, RAF during the War, I haven't identified hers yet. Sorry, the images are very small: the people on the stamp are Pierre Clostermann and Claire Roman. Here's a larger image of the stamp, which might help you identify the plane.

They are doing great, thank you Veem - all good, so far…but we're already getting nervous about the big event - April doesn't seem far away now…

Thank you Biggles for the photos and also to FFS for the large image of the stamp. I have been checking the histories of the two pilots. Very interesting careers in aviation for them both. I am pleased that Pierre’s actions with the RAF is depicted clearly.
