Of course it’s the government who will make them compulsory, but the subject matter should not be lost in a big anti government rant

Much though he might have it otherwise, BJ is not the government.
Your distrust of BJ* is clouding your judgement about what is required and not required for the benefit of society as a whole.
* In no way misplaced IMHO

Is there a variety of Godwin's Law that applies to BJ?

Whether you like him or not (and I don’t even though a Conservative) BJ has been faced with conditions more difficult than any PM since the 2WW, with a difficult balancing act between the Science, thus far imperfect, the needs of the population, the NHS and industry as well as the results of f….. Brexit. And he has made mistakes. BUT I doubt any response could have been bettered, even if there had been a national government.
Perhaps if MPs were obliged to declare their vaccine status it might be a small example to the country.
Getting freedoms back after the pandemic(!) can be done by Parliament and probably will. Voters must demand.
Certainly the antimaskers who walked through the Tube singing ‘ You can’t keep a fart in your trousers’ ( P. Corbyn) and company should be kept away from public transport, and preferably made to isolate themselves from the general public.

Is there a variety of Godwin's Law that applies to BJ? You would think so judging by the number of threads that end up referencing him when they started out completely different

Is there a variety of Godwin's Law that applies to BJ? I was careful not to invoke Godwin. In the circumstances, not an easy task. In response to the other comment about Johnson, I'm well aware he's not the brains behind the outfit. He's a useful idiot who resonates with enough of the right section of society for a purpose.

If he loses the bye election to day he will be gone by mid January, IMNVHO. I don't think he has to lose. I think he's past the point of no return. He's become the type of distraction the men in grey suits don't want.

I think Johnson is just the men in grey suits want in power, because he is so desparate to be seen as the MAN that he will agree to anything. Returning to compulsory vaccine. Will it make any difference as the virus seems to mutate so quickly, that the question has to be asked whether a vaccine is useful. However I do believe that you are responsible for your own "health" and should do what is needed to protect yourself.

Vaccinated person - virus encountered and immune response destroys it.
Unvaccinated - virus encountered, host becomes one big cultivation medium ready to send the virus onward.
It's not quite as simple as that, but nearly.

The 190 countries in the world who have a lower per capita death rate? If they'd had our government they'd be up at the top of the death league too.

The USA has a higher per capita death rate.
I wonder if inept lying leaders has anything to do with it?

It's not quite as simple as that, but nearly. My thinking was if I'm vaccinated, I'm less likely to catch it badly and therefore less likely to pass it on to someone else, which is how the vaccine protects both me and others. Roughly similar to your first line.
