Absolutely agree Aardvark. He, DVT and the other scientific advisors are the only ones coming across with any credibility. They warn when things are getting worse and try and spell out possible consequences. Unlike BJ who says let's party one day and be cautious about going out unnecessarily literally the next day.

Considering the Japanese culture, in my experience, this view, as published, is simply an honorable statement. Japanese people are of a culture where it would not be honorable to be unvaccinated and potentially pass covid on to a neighbour. It sounds more like a plea to antivax expats to shut the hell up while in the country.

Uk 70.2% fully vaccinated Japan 78.3% so yes a totally different sense of honour.
