We always have the same Xmas dinner every year, the usual turkey, sprouts, spuds, etc and I quite fancied doing something different this year, but when I suggested having a change everyone was very disgruntled and said it wouldn't be a Xmas dinner if it wasn't turkey. So, turkey it will be! Now, make me jealous and tell me what you're all having...

Just got a care package from the states so christmas eve will be cajun styled blackened tuna with gratin dauphinois and old bay seasoned peel n eat shrimp. Christmas day will be sort of tex mex - fajitas, hard shell tacos (beef) and nachoes with home made chili and the NFL game..

Christmas Eve - Coquille St Jacques, gambas, smoked salmon, cray and crab, followed by foie gras melba toast, cheese and crepes chantilly Boxing day - citrus and green salad followed by goose, red cabbage roast spuds etc, then Christmus pud with brandy creamed butter. Several wines will inter mingle as appropriate!

Chateau Latour 2009 Meursault Les Perrières 2015 Ch La Tour Blanche 1996 Taylor’s Vintage 2003 Is the port a new (unopened) bottle as I saw a tv prog recently that featured the manager of Taylor's in Porto and he said that the bottle should be finished within three months of opening as thereafter the taste is ruined?

Never heard of such a thing, a bottle of port being unfinished after opening 🤔😃

@ Tim I am not supposed to drink alcohol. Though, I could not resist a swig of Flor da Canna when I opened a bottle for guests. It is impractical for oh and I to celebrate on Christmas Day this year.
re: manager of Taylor's in Porto.
Seems to me that he could have sales in mind.
