A friend's funeral was held on November 29th and Webcast by Obitas. We watched the live stream but it was seriously disrupted by our 2.1Mb broadband. The Webcast is available until Monday, but when ever I log on to the Obitus website, I get a blank page. I can still log on and view the service on an android smartphone. No error messages have been displayed. Neither Obitus, my whiz-kid son nor Microsoft support have been able to offer a solution, so I'm hoping that one of you very clever people can help, please. If you want the logon details, please PM me or Veem.

The person who organised the Obitus streaming has the option of obtaining a CDVD/USB version. I think the funeral director can also order copies but needs permission from the family.

Thank you elsie, I was aware of that, my concern is that there is clearly something on this PC that is not working as it should, and I would like to get it fixed.

Biggles, can you watch any other webcasts on your computer, ie that aren't Obitus (Obitas)?

When I watched the webcast of the funeral of a friend who had returned to the UK I noticed on the bottom of the screen, at the end, the message that the webcast was valid for 1 viewing only. Possibly that might be the case in your situation. A mobile phone, being a separate piece of kit, would give you a 'new viewing' .. ?

Thanks Sue. I doubt that is the case here, I've spoken at length to Obitus and I'm sure they would have pointed that out to me. I've just sent the logon details to FFS as he offered to have a look.

I found the link and it worked for me, w,ith no limits indicated so the problem isn't with the Obitus site. Sorry.

I wonder if it has to do with cookies?
My next step would be to try the link with a different browser. I think FFS uses Pale Moon; I'm writing this in a Firefox tab; Brave, Opera, Edge, are all alternatives and you shouldn't get a cookie problem (if that is indeed the problem).

I gave up on Pale Moon a long while ago, back to Firefox now. Yes, clearing the cache might be the way forward.

I found a question posed by someone running W10 and the response is below - might be worth trying?

More food for thought: I had a brainwave this morning and tried using a 'Private Window' in Opera and Guess What?! No Change. Then I spotted at the top of the screen a VPN button, which I have never used before, so I pressed it and Lo! There I was able to log on to Obitas' website and watch the whole ceremony, full screen and good sound! A result that has made my day, and only just in the nick of time. The fact that using a VPN cured the problem may help in diagnosing the root cause?

The question is, when you clicked the VPN button, did you turn it on or off? I know there are certain sites that recognise VPNs and deprive users thereof of their site's contents, and I was able to log in without using a VPN.
