We opened a bottle of rosé yesterday and were very surprised to see it had a glass cork, reusable not only in that bottle but in the bottle of red I didn't finish. Quite a nifty little thing.

Yes I’ve had some of them in German wines a few years ago, merry Christmas.

I've never had a glass cork but I did have cork glasses once. I couldn't see a thing.

So is it a glass ferrule with silicon seals that goes in the bottle & then a removable silicone bouchon that goes into that?
Is it actually glass or acrylic?
Is the white thing a paper napkin to put the bouchon into to stop wine getting on the table?

Too many questions! I thought it was a simple subject.

I always save them when a bottle has them. Glass with an inbuilt silicone seal.

The photo of the 3 different pieces confused the issue, from the link I can see that its a plastic stopper with silicone sleeve and a glass handle.
