Which is precisely the opposite of the problem in France: here, they are NOT widely available in pharmacies, due to stock ruptures because demand outstripped supply. If supermarkets can sell them, and for prices similar to those you quote for Spanish pharmacy prices (French pharmacies sell them from 5€), so much the better.

I think also the Tabacs...

Fill yer boots Ibis, if I give away the stolen test kits I get flamed, if I keep them I am a hoarder!!!
I don't know the date because I gave the kit away months ago and the other is in the UK but they will have a use by date and that could have added to the urgency that they had trying to offload them.
I bet there are a lot offered on Ebay.

I had some Italian workers staying here at the beginning of the year, I organised their vaccinations in France and PCR testing to return (to Ibis, I imagined all that, its just another of my stories )
The final one said he didn't need taking to Amiens because the pharmacie were going to test him, I had my doubts knowing the requirements for him then to return (PCR test, printed lab result) but was pleased to be absolved of the duty.
It turned out they sold him a lateral flow home test kit, said that he had to buy the whole box of 5 and they charged him €130 for it , worse still he was travelling by train and at the frontier only had the plastic test strip to (not) prove he (or someone else) had tested negative.
Not long after I used them for a Passe Sanitaire test to return to the UK and it was the same lateral flow test kit, it was free and she used one out of the box of 5, my Amelie account showed they had been paid €30 but I still dont see why they ripped off the Italian who spoke no French, I didn't ask, nothing to gain, plenty to lose.

I thought you did not have any clients for 2 years???
So the italian client paid the money for just one test; you kept the rest and have been using them and charging the france health service.. Maybe i do not understand your last paragraph - she? same test kit? you paying the health service €30 for a "free kit" left behind in your "hotel". "Plenty to lose" was your hardly earned cash..

I make a mental note to stay away from pharmacies in your area, wherever it is! Yes they would have sold him a box of five - the boxes are sealed, so single tests cannot be sold. I doubt that a pharmacy outside your crooked area would sell a box of LF test kits in lieu of telling a customer of the actual requirements of returning to their residence. A pharmacy selling a box of test kits for any other reason than being asked for one for home purposes would be in very hot water. As for pharmacy charges, again, they would be in very hot water if they were seen to profiteer. What is a passe sanitaire test to return to the UK? At the 'beginning of the year' there was not a test requirement to enter the UK. It was one of the big political rows at the time. And if it were the case, I very much doubt that 'she' would use a test from an opened box that someone who walked in off the street produced! You sound very like a poster on the last incarnation of this forum...

I'm not sure what you meant by the last comment, you know who I am Hal, if you are not sure I will send you an E-mail
I can see that my posting was a bit confusing but pleased that you have completely understood how the pharmacie had taken advantage of the guy, he definitely needed a PCR test and written test results from the testing lab, at that time the walk in PCR tests had become chargeable for non carte vitale holders but it was only €37 IIRC.
Passe sanitaire to return to the UK, apologies, yes that was confusing, at that time the testing requirement to return to the UK had just dropped to a lateral flow test meeting some impossible to understand statistical conditions, France had just opened up bars & restos, outside events etc for those with a Passe Sanitaire which at that time was either a vaccination certificate or a egative test antigène from a pharmacie which came with a printed "Passe Sanitaire" certificate, I persuaded the pharmacienne to do one for me, she had just recieved a communication that they were not valid for travel, it was marked "only for use within France" but it was accepted at Dieppe.

The Italian was probably May, maybe later & not the beginning of the year, he had returned to hand over the premises that they had removed the machinery from.
The last 2 years have been a blur, my desk diaries were barely used I can't recall how many journeys that I made and when, 3 removal journeys with roulottes plus others without, as I'm sure you appreciate the major preoccupation was meeting the ever changing requirements for travel, getting tested and having the results in time etc.
