My OH is returning this evening from Newhaven with DFDS. They insisted he had to go and get an LFT test as his PCR was done on Monday so they said out of date. Another thing he needed was a French Passenger Locator form stating where he would be staying and isolating for 10 days. He has been travelling back and forth to work during the entire pandemic and today it seemed more complicated than ever before. He has 2 appointments on Friday, are you allowed out of quarantine for those? Thanks Pre departure test to come to France has to be within 24 hrs of departure. Eos form produces arrêt prefectoral giving details of the place of quarantine. A negative LFT after 48 hrs of arrival will release from quarantine. Allowed out between 10 and 12 for essential reasons *. If medical appointments no problem.

Great thanks. So he's off to the dentist and vet on Friday 😄

French friends spent Christmas with her mother in Spain, on return they were blocked at the airport because they had not filled out French passenger location forms which had an acronym name including the P & L which nobody could tell them what it meant, except myself!!!
They had no idea that they were needed and they had checked in on line for the return flight which gave them a checklist of covid tests etc but no mention of said form.
My pal is an IT wizard so he did them for the whole family on his smartphone, gave them the QR codes to scan and they just looked at the phone and said "thats OK!"
They asked me if I had ever filled one out, I said always to the UK but never on return, I bet it like the Belgian one that I looked at, simply wanting the address you will be staying at, not all the hoop jumping of the UK one which still has anomolies where you have to tell it what it will accept instead of the true answer.

Negative lateral flow within 24hrs of departure, on return, passenger locator form with proof of lateral test purchase to be done within 48hrs after in UK. No essential reason for travel is now required. Waiting for it to fully appear on the French Government website before actually booking.

If your test is no good AP becasue its not done by a recognised body, Boots are £30 each for Antigen and you dont pay until you go for the test and can cancel at any time......
