Has anyone opened a Revolut account in France here? Apparently you get a French IBAN, if you do, it might be worth closing my UK Revolut and opening a French one......

I bet that Credit Agricole would still not allow me to send you money though!
The money that I sent to a French La Poste account on Friday has been debited but not sent because I didn't pay for the premium instant transfer, knowing them they will action it on Tuesday when the branch opens, or later in the week according to their whim, its at that point that the on line banking app gets updated with all the transactions since Friday evening and finally shows the correct balance although on the computer it shows almost instantly.
Its banking Jim but not as we know it!!!!!!!!!!!!
They will be dumped once I move.

I send money via virements from my CA account to various UK accounts. You do have to go into the branch to set up the new receiving account, but once done the payments can be made from the app. All very easy.

I've been able to set up a virement to someone in Tunisia through CA online, if I recall correctly it just took a little longer to confirm, that's all.

Not with CA at any rate. I was under the impression it was automated or software driven so should be pretty much instant. My Transferwise stuff seems to arrive in seconds, regardless of what day it is. If I can't resolve my current bother with LaPoste Banque I might have a look at Revolut. Do they require a minimum balance or minimum monthly input?

It is free and not "second hand" info on an important decision

It took me a year with CA to finally let me set up a virement to Currency Fair.
All is good for the moment but I'm always looking at setting up new accounts

Getting back to the original question. This morning I sent 50€ from my Revolut account to my Boursorama account using instant transfer. The transfer took seconds. This is the first time I've tried a transfer with the account with a Lithuanian IBAN. I then went into my Boursorama, added a new beneficiary, my Revolut account with the Lithuanian IBAN. It took about a minute to do that as I had to go through a verification code process. I then transferred 20€ back to my Revolut account, again using instant transfer. Another verification code, but the money appeared in my Revolut account in less than a minute. Usually I do not keep large amounts in my Revolut account. However, to transfer from my sterling Lloyds account to my euro Boursorama account, I first transfer (usually £1000) to Revolut, do an exchange of that into euro and then transfer those euro to Boursorama. The whole process only taking minutes. So for Boursorama there do not seem to be any problems. The instant transfer can be used for up to 2,000 euros of instant transfers per day (cumulative). tinyurl.com/y5kegcmdI switched from Crédit Agricole Alsace Vosges to the online Boursorama a few years ago when I had problems setting up a new recipient and making a transfer to another French bank account in less than about a week or so!
