Nicked from another forum (thank you Char) .. for those who would like to play more than once a day, this site is beautifully designed and simple to use. Same rules as Wordle .. Katherine the software engineer who created this open-source site did so for her brother who is addicted to Wordle, but wanted to play more than once a day. Safe to use, I've checked it out (as best I can as an amateur).
Edit : US spellings here too I'm afraid.

I thought of the correct word after my first 2 tries, but ruled it out on the basis of the US spelling. I feel a bit cheated because after I ruled it out, I lost the game.

A nice and simple alternative version, but for some reason, I found it harder than Wordle, perhaps because it isn't all laid out on my screen page, ie I have to scroll if I want to use the onscreen keys. On a positive note, I found that you can do it all using the computer keyboard: letters, backspace, and enter, and it automatically moves to the next line if/when your word fails. |

There's also a French version of Wordle! - Le Mot. That works with the keyboard as well, which is good because on my screen the bottom row of letters was missing. |

More of less how my game went early today .. I lost because it did not occur to me to think of US spelling. More genned up now .. think global  |
