My car is due it's first CT, so after two months of sitting in the garden I made sure it would stat okay which was not an issue. Noticed damage on the seatbelt then had a look about. Some how mice got in the car and had a good munch if it had been one of the older bits of tat I would not have been too bothered. Eaten through the carpet and behind the drivers seat, munched the carpet in the boot and the front mat. Luckily they did not touch the seats which would have been an exspensive fix. Non AMG mouse traps await there ret

If you didn't lock it, don't call the Gendarmes.

Iam surprised you have left a four year old Merc AMG sitting in your garden for two months, don't you have a heated garage with carpeted floors for it to live in? shame on you . On a serious note, mice like wires and they can cause a lot of very expensive damage to cars, so hopefully you will be ok, next time keep a cat locked in it, but don't forget the litter tray.

If you park it in a heated, carpeted garage, and include a dehumidifier I'll volunteer to live in it and keep watch for rodents. And I won't leave the seats covered in cat fur.

I had a family of mice in an Alfa last year but they just ate some hard foam. No obvious wire damage just a bit of insulation tape nibbled. She got a new hyundia which is very comfortable so been using it just now. The Hyundia is a nice enough car and it does what its meant to do but not wanting to come across a snob which im not. The mercedes is fun to drive feels like a Ferrari but not in the same price range and incredibly fast when you touch the accelerator. ( but never gone over the speed limit) ats still reads forums

Might the damage to the seatbelt be a CT failure?

One of my close friend's Mercedes failed its initial CT because her dog had chewed one of the rear seat belts. It was an expensive repair because they have fancy electronic tensioning devices. I have also noticed that the dog has already chewed the replacement. 😀😀
