You might need to blow the picture up. Its the front crack not the rear one.

The front corner has moved and lifted the roof. Viewing it tomorrow afternoon, it needs the side re built.

Was the cracking caused by the weight of the original roof which has been replaced by what look like lightweight panels? Or has there been some sort of undermining of the foundations caused by water running?

Or has there been some sort of undermining of the foundations caused by water running? It was just a barn before he converted it. These old houses never had foundations, from the inside it looks like the origional wall went half way up and was open at the top. The ground was very wet so at a guess probably a mixture of everything brought it down.
