Is there any ski resorts on the island?
Are you asking the question out of curiosity, surprise, or for provocation?

curiosity. I thought the biggest hill there was just for walking up and getting rescued.

I think you will find the Alps are closer to Chorley than Ben Nevis, certainly easier to get to.

You are no doubt right, but Ibis asked about ski resorts in the Uk. Dave Riding actually started on a dry slope in the northwest before his talent was recognised

According to ViaMichelin - Chorley to ben nevis is 280 miles and would take 5 and a half hours. Leave Chorley get to Manchester airport at least 2 hours before your flight - arrive in France - coach transfer to resort. That's nearly half a day - I know I have done it 6 -also by car takes even longer.

We’ll done that man. Perhaps he was also inspired by The Oldham Tinkers song about the now demolished Counthill dry ski slope, Skiing Owdham Style.
