And on UK radio there are currently ads for companies wanting you to combine all your pensions ( ) into one place and let them manage it for you. At the end they quickly admit that it could all go tits up and you lose your money. I only have the one pension (from the state) but if I had several private ones like some here have, the last thing I would do is consolidate them under one manager. That manager will get a monthly commission win or lose. I would get sweet FA in the event of mismanagement.

Leccy here in Spain has gone crazy, my Jan. bill was €185 which is why I've decided to go off grid solar, fortunately my property is true South facing meaning that I should be able to extract maximum advantage from it. I'm about to order a DIY kit which, at under €3k and with current leccy prices which I don't foresee coming down substantially any time soon, should achieve payback in around 2.5-3 years. www.todoensolar.com/epages/61987244.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/61987244/Products/KIT-SOLARAISLADA-5

Is your heating and hot water electric ANO?
If not that is a huge bill for other electrical appliances.
If there is a heating element of that bill then I am struggling to make your payback figures work given the hot climate that you live in.
But who cares, every kw/h that it gives you is money not being paid to the energy suppliers and with the raidly rising prices the return on investment will come faster and faster.
How much per kwh are you now paying over there?

It'd be lovely to have enough reliable sunshine to make that idea viable here The list of what it will power, though, wouldn't go anywhere near providing enough for freezers, bottling equipment, swimming pool pump etc.etc. Is it possible to combine two packs, ANO?

At face value, I think that the above report implies that it is difficult to get fairer that the authority that imposed the fine. Then or course is the question what is done with the money raised by the fine and how much does the report reflect the reality of the situation?
