This will not cut trees - branches but we have recently purchased one of these.. Works pretty well and the missus can use it.

That looks more like a strimmer to me? I mean something like this....
For tall hedges branches etc, or does that one do both? The wheels are confusing me maybe?

I bought an Echo last year and it works well on my laurel hedges.

This sort of thing will do both trimming and branch cutting. It is mains powered though Cheaper ones are available.

Good luck cutting hedges with that!
I bought a Stihl HS45 nearly 2 decades ago on the recommendation of a pal & its been superb, my French friend bought his a decade ago after using mine & is still pleased with it, I don't think the design has changed one bit in the intervening years so they are clearly a good piece of kit and difficult to improve on.
Very light and well balanced.

Depending upon the circumstances of their intended use, my limited experience of mid range lithium battery powered tools would incline me to mains powered devices.

Horses for courses....the Parkside battery-powered hedgetrimmers are a joy to use, especially in a big garden, but the batteries (and/or chargers) don't last more than 2 or 3 years. I've just acquired a petrol multi-tool gizmo...hedgetrimmer/chainsaw/strimmer but haven't got round to using it yet. I'm saving up for some fuel

That is a good price, I have an identical one but which doesn't have the chainsaw attachment or adjustable angle, my only complaint is that ergonomically it is a disaster, the supplied harness and its attachment points make it a real unbalanced struggle to use it as a strimmer, like nobody had ever tried it, hopefully that will have been improved since.
If you can say that it has then i might even sell mine and buy one of those.

I have a lot of 2m high hedge. I used to use a petrol cutter but find it too heavy after a time. Now use a Bosch mains as it lighter. It works for me. I think a battery might be too heavy unless you can afford one with a battery back pack
