We agreed to buy this house late last year completed the sale yesterday. It's in the Cantal, nice views but needs a bit of work, the gite next door which is a tiny house compared to this one charges 1000 a week out of season, no idea how often its rented out. I would not pay that kind of money. The garden is getting cleared tomorrow and we will be doing a little inside over the next couple of weeks. First viewing is Monday. <button disabled="" class="c-attachment-insert--linked o-btn--sm">Attachment Deleted</button> Looks like the house out of Amityville.

I am never wrong. It is a French forum law. Some Brits will buy that trying to live the French dream. Three weeks later there will be a big argument and it will turn into Amityville. It's Amityville.

It does not go wrong for everyone if you have the money for builders it's an easy enough renovation. We sold a hotel March 2021 with no roof the couple that bought it have already completed 50% of the work on there own.

The first time we visited, a very long time ago on our way to visit friends in the Drôme, it was very informal, free to wander in and out as we wished, which we did as it was a very hot day and went for cool drinks. The second time it had become very formalised, with proper entrance, payment and rules and regs, much busier too.

One of the windows was well past its best used by date but they are not a standard size so would have needed to have been ordered which would have been a waste of money as anyone restoring this building would fit double glazing throughout. Found one on leboncoin not the right size but close enough with some invisible mending 50 euros later which will not impact the profit we have this which will be fitted tomorrow. The first person to view could not afford to renovate the house the second one arrives on Sunday as long as his flight is not cancelled. You need to click on the pictures to enlarge, when the window is fitted you will not see the extra wood as it will be covered in plaster.
