It seems to me that if FFS wanted to or were able to address our concerns he would do so through the forum.
I really wouldn't do the private investigator thing on this. FFS's privacy is more important than anyone's curiosity.

That tells me that you (as one of the teammembers) know that he is still around and is capable of responding were he minded to which is a great relief and gives me peace of mind.
So if that is a given then I agree, his privacy is important but I don't think there has been anything other then genuine concern for his welfare expressed here, certainly not curiosity.
