We went out on Monday and had lunch at a favourite restaurant sitting outside in the sunshine. We then went on to a fabulous garden centre and bought a load of plants for a border. They've been covered in fleece ever since and have someone coming to plant them on Tuesday. I hope it warms up by then or we'll lose the lot.

Is it really that unusual? I've seen some shocking spring weather here in the past 18 years. Although, similar to Hal, I found myself looking at rentals in Morocco yesterday.

Not really unusual at all.
We are statistically more likely to get snow at Easter than at Christmas and that means March and the first half of April can really be quite cold - but equally some years very warm. We have a phrase for this. We call it weather.
