Oh dear. Poor Rishi isn't having much of a time lately is he? I expect he'll be relieved to know how much we sympathise with him and his neighbour.

Where's an ironic/sarcastic smiley when you need one And perhaps Mrs Rishi can claim his fixed penalty fine against tax .................... That will help to pay for their imminent move to California. Bon voyage et bon débarras.

Be careful what you wish for. If Boris goes and Rishi decides he's had enough then you're looking at Truss as the front runner. Seriously? Truss? As Prime Minister?

Not sure they need to resign unless they get a 12 month spell in prison. The best chance labour have to get into power is if boris stays in power.

I'm not sure it was meant to be funny either time.

What I don't really get in all this is how anyone can fool themselves into thinking BJ has a character suitable to the job of PM.
He's lied to the public, the media, Parliament. I know he's a liar, you know he's a liar, the public know he's a liar, 650 MPs know he's a liar, even he knows he's a liar. Yet clearly enough people feel that being an amoral, lying narcissist is just what we need in a Prime Minister.
How can this even happen?

Democracy is fine. It is integrity that has gone to hell in a hand-cart.

Democracy isn't really fine. Bojo is in power with another a third of the voters' support. Actual voters who voted. He has a huge majority and believes he's untouchable. The result of that is the majority are not properly represented if they are represented at all. And before the blame falls on those who don't vote, I'm not one of them, I can understand the "What's the point." attitude. For them they're is no point. At least a degree of PR is required to help restore concensus and balance. Devolution across the English regions would help too.
