I beg to differ. As I said, I've used it when my keyboard was failing. My son also used to use it to get French special characters when he only had an English keyboard. When you switch keyboard layout for the manual keyboard it also switches for the on screen keyboard so you can see which key to hit even if you don't actually use the mouse to select it off the screen. I beg to differ as you were handicap to have to use it. One way or the other. I don't consider it handicapped to have had a UK keyboard on my laptop or to still want to type as if I'm using an English keyboard layout now I have a French keyboard or for my son to have had one on his desktop in the past and done similar - the software has the solutions to allow us to do that. I think you're just a bit rude, really.

I don't know which one the repair shop put on mine then I don't need to worry about it as long as I don't look at the keys and then it's really confusing

Is it normal on a french keyboard for the numerals to require the shift key? Or do I have a 'special one' That is how my one was configured*, hence my comment about computers doing hard sums earlier on. * and for a scientist and number cruncher it was a right PITA.

I keep referring to it............ LexibarJust put the mini floating taskbar on the screen, in whatever language required, then drag/drop or place the cursor and click the accented letter required.
