We have stopped wearing masks in most places but a couple of days ago in a DIY store the glass cutter who was useless was sneezing his head off but had a mask on we did not. Just read today the UK still has on average 400 dying a day from covid. No idea what the stats are in France but probably not that far behind. Might start wearing the mask in stores again.

Quite a few shoppers in our local supermarket are now not wearing masks. The staff are though, and so am I. I don't think I'll stop the habit for a long time yet - if ever.

Same here. I'm not ready to die just yet. Plenty more jobs to finish and people to annoy before I'm done.

In the covered market and some shops I wear the FFP2 masque which should protect me. Today in the market there were very few masques and lots of people.

I wear masks in all shops be it France or U.K. I don’t give a damn about what non mask wearers have to say about it……

Me too! What I do is up to me, nobody else. It seems that many others around us also still take precautions as the two shoos I enter, the small Food M&S near us and Wokingham Waitrose have a lot of customers wearing masks, as do many staff members. However, numbers are climbing again in the Wokingham area, very plain to see from the Zoe study graphics each day.

I'm in Edinburgh just now where, supposedly, masks are compulsory indoors, on transport etc until Monday yet I would estimate fewer than half of the people in shops, buses and so forth are wearing masks.
On the train up from Peterborough nobody wore a mask even as we were pulling into Waverley.
You rather get the feeling that most people have just given up worrying. That daily figures are no longer so broadly published probably adds to the sense that Covid is over.
It isn't.

We still wear our masks when "out and about" , it looks like masks are mostly warn by older folk . No problem to wear a mask for us ,it feels pretty normal now .

The UK has stopped publishing the daily figures on a daily basis with nothing given out over the weekends and public holidays until back into the working week. And death rates are climbing - currently at around 2000 per week

In recent weeks I know 11 people, all triple vaccinated bar 1 who have had covid. 9 uk family, the other 2 friends here.
