If you are a tory or that way leaning, you might get a satisfactory replacement but the country will not get a good prime minister. Tories are just not in it for the greater good of all. I'll leave it at that.

When Johnson goes which is now pretty much a certainty I think that will be the end of his odious incompetent cabal too. I believe the enquiry is going to last about 6 weeks not years. Assuming there's no GE until 2024 who would like as a replacement for Johnson? Unfortunately, any moderates or anyone with half a brain has resigned or been chucked out so not to be a threat to Bunter and his rabid right wing ERG controllers which doesn’t leave very much to choose from, or as someone put it recently, a bit like having to choose between your favourite flavour animal poo. Perhaps Jeremy Hunt might appeal to the Tory party members? Tom Tugendhat seems an ok bloke. Ominously, that Murdoch favourite right wing nutter Gove seems conspicuous by his absence but ultimately unelectable surely?

I have a feeling he will resign soon, the tide is definitely turning. That Rory Stewart bloke always seemed quite decent, pity he gave it all up. In my view Boris will only resign if there is someone/something dangling lots of money in front of his nose. He has an expensive wife and 2 (new) children to support. I like Rory Stewart if it has to be the Tories or David Milliband if it's Labour. Thought there is a negligible chance of either of them.

Maybe Gove is really charismatic. Maybe Atlantis is under a reservoir near Huddersfield.

The Gray Report is said to be so damning he'll have to go.

Getting rid of Johnson is the easy bit as he's doomed, the Tories though damaged are still not far behind Labour in the polls which is staggering given the amount of mistakes they've made over the last couple of years. It will interesting to see how the local elections go and whether the public really give them a kicking for partygate or have moved on just like Johnson wants them to do.

Culture Secretary, Nadine Dorries, is in fact an accomplished author. Here's an extract from her book, The Four Streets. Enjoy your lunch. And please, please purge your mind of any images of a a lame duck prime minister. Heurk!

The Gray Report is said to be so damning he'll have to go. If anyone ever gets to see it. The Torys will put all their weight behind more delaying tactics.
