Just over 20 years ago we bought a house in France which came with a once modern propane gas ch boiler. While it performed reasonably well heating the whole house it was very limited in providing a continuous stream of hot water.
    After two years of struggling to fill the bath and have a decent shower we called in a local plumber. He showed us the Frisquet brochure and we chose a very modern boiler. There has been only one minor fault, quickly fixed, and it has been wonderful supplying all our hot water and heating the radiators rather well. We chose one with a small, 30 litre hot water reservoir tank but we regularly draw 100 litres for daily baths without ever running cool. The boiler operates as a combination boiler.
   I do not have any efficiency data but would not expect it to be much better than about 65/70%. Propane heating is expensive with any boiler though I might be tempted by a new condensing boiler with the claim of 90% efficiency.
   The simple assessment is that we are very pleased with this boiler and would buy any replacement from the same company.

A crazy name for a boiler heating company, must have seemed like a good joke at the time!
