It’s hard to believe that they should come up with such stupid rules.
I suggest that the male teams should have to wear the same as the female teams.

When In Brittany I used to go to a bar to watch women's American Football. They wore next to nothing including the smallest bikini bottoms I've ever seen.

Very good sports watching....
As to the bikini bottoms - just like the girl who got busted for smoking a dubie and is not allowed to run at the Olympics - thems the rules..

Rules is rules but when applied, as in the case of the bikini bottoms and shorts, by cretins then they become a laughing stock.

If the male participants were obliged to wear what the rules specify the female participants should wear, believe you me the rules would be quickly changed.
In women's football and rugby they wear shorts, and in women's ordinary handball as well, so it's total discrimination to 'force' women to wear bikini bottoms in beach handball.

Have just watched the end of the women's beach volleyball final between Brazil and the USA, and while like most red-blooded males I like seeing women in bikinis (it is, after all, an attire designed to draw attention to the female form), I don't think it's appropriate wear for serious female athletes. Let them wear shorts if they want to.
