Maybe try to find the number of the gendarmerie of the largest town near you, and/or of the town with the Préfecture (these are usually 24/7).

Do you know for sure that 112 will not work or has been taken down? A buddy of mine in the Home Office said - although last year - that the UK will continue to support the 112 network. Of course with the Home Office being run by a racist, supported by an excuse of a cabinet, I can quite believe it has been taken down.

I would have assumed that 112 in the U.K. would put you through to the English emergency network rather than a ‘forrin’ one, but I don’t know for sure, it’s not very often I call it…..

I would have thought that might work. But better if you can get to someone local. Maybe 0033 (local 4 digit code minus the 0) 112.

There is an email address on the page. Ask direct and get an answer from the horses mouth instead of guesses.

Even if they do break in, they'll never get the getaway van through the gatepost.

112 is a non geographic number so an ID code will not work.
112 is a predominately european network where the number, when dialled is seen by an operator who has the facility (a switchboard…)to route a call to other operators on the network whether it be local fire, police or ambulance, or to a fellow operator on the network.
I cannot see that brexitland has left the network from Google. Maybe not having looked at the brexit disaster joke in its inabilty to launch a brexitland GPS😀 In fact, why are we even allowing brexitland to use Galileo? Forget creating trouble with the stupid border in the sea, just pull the plug on the GPS for an instant implosion🤣🤣

112 will probably get you through to an emergency operator in the UK but they are going to be less than impressed with you relating to them that you have witnessed activity on your CCTV cameras of your second home in France, after all would you call 999 for this event?
They also do press releases from time to time giving details of the most inane misuse of their resources.
Call the number of your local gendermarie, out of hours it will be put through to the 24 hour control room, they will be only marginally more impressed.
