nah, not really. Thought I would wake you all up this morning. Although it could start a new movement.

Had an extensive blood test on Friday. Got the results on Monday and haven't a clue how to interpret them.

Just a blood test will show any prostate problems . Well yes - but equally no. The PSA test has a very high level of false positives. OK, if a test is going to be wrong much better to be false positive than false negative. It does mean however that your "Just a blood test" is a bit simplistic since anyone showing positive then has to undergo an examination to confirm or not whether there is a problem.

Your doctor should have a copy so he will be able to tell you.

I agree , but it is a first sign that there is a problem , that needs further examination, I was being simplistic.
If the PSA stays at the same level then there is no need to have a check up/scan .

Camera up the willy and finger up the bum. What's there not to like. Well, it was a bit uncomfortable.

Is not it recommended for any "guy" over 50... Should just be part of the normal yearly physical..

I've had both in the past. The latter was a bit of a surprise at the time. The former resulted in me using a very naughty word in mixed company.

Mr J who is 65 has his PSA tested every year as part of an annual blood test. He’s pretty happy with that and of course if he started having any symptoms like excessive peeing he would flag it up with our medicine traitant.

... gone wrong. Or right, depending on one's perspective.
