Mrs Tiggywinkle has come a calling these last few evenings.
Close enough to let her see me put a few cat biscuits down for her.
Close enough to hear her crunching.
Close enough for me to see the ticks on her face.
So I need some advice before I go and bewilder the vet with my French.
Can I crunch up a tick and flea tablet into a little food for her, aware of the weight difference between her and a cat.
Answers on a postcard please to…….

catch it and sterilizer it or kill it ( turn it in to your local animal shelter)

Mr Stinky you can break up a tick and flee tablet and put it in the food. The combo tablets are quite exspensive but work.

Taken from Tiggywinkles hospital fact sheet...
‘Hedgehog Fleas and Ticks
Hedgehog fleas do not live on dogs, cats, humans or inside houses, they are host specific, so your pet cannot catch fleas from a hedgehog.
Ticks on hedgehogs (seen as greyish shiny lumps, often behind the ears) are not usually a problem unless there are dozens, which can lead to anaemia. Removal of ticks should be avoided as it is very easy to leave the mouth parts behind which may lead to a serious infection.’
personally I would get a vets advice before using tick and flea tablets.
