Ristourne?
I would use retrocommission in English and ristourne in French.
There may have been an English word that I used in my business life for rétrocommission but if there was I have forgotten, I probably used "kickback".
Unlike French in english it is perfectly acceptable to use a foreign word or phrase if there is not the equivalent in English, with most of them it's obvious by the context what they mean.
Until reading the article I would never have known how to spell "Holà!", another word I hear and use but never see written.
I probably unconsciously use it in English, in fact I'm sure I do, I would not know how to express it any other way.

Rétrocommission is interesting and not quite the same as kickback? Unlike English where the word refers to adapting something after it has been built, in French is refers to part of the money paid in commission for a contract ( eg submarines, jets, kit) being given back to the commissioner in some way. In a recent case the ex PM Edouard Balladour was alleged to have financed some of his presidential bid with rétrocommissions paid by the buyers of French submarines and fighter aircraft. They had already been paid millions for ‘arranging’ the original deals.

To me a "retro" commission is a payment after the event, used to hide the fact that the actual commission paid is higher than the declared one, often they are paid based on the volume of sales over and above the commission paid on the sale, I've never heard of a commission being paid up front aside from someones salary or perhaps as in recruitment where the deal is only consummated after the 3 month trial period, in which case any up front payment can be taken back later.
When a salesman says to you have cannot sell something for the price you are offering, if he turns his computer towards you to show how little they are making on the deal they can be being truthfull but are hiding the retro-commission that will follow every 3, 6 or 12 months, the giveaway is that they are trying to make you believe that their profit margin is too low.
