3.5t Renault Master LWB FWD 2007 Mini digger 320 model which I think is a 1.5 or 1.2t need to check. I need to move it for a job but no trailer here. The question, if I unbolted the cab could I drive into the back of the van to move it?
edit it is a 1.5t

In the absence of any other responses and in the spirit of encouragement, go for it, what's the worst that could happen? If the answer to that is unacceptable to you, don't go for it.

Thank you for your excellent advice the van is worth nothing but I will wait for an expert as I'm not about to try and load it as its Bath time. You do have a 50% chance of being right.

If the Renault is french registered it should have somwhere on it a plaque.
If the PTAC minus the PV is more than the weight of the minidigger then you can legally do it. Whether physically possible I've no idea.

I would be worried about the strength of the floor, perhaps some planks down to spread the weight,

When I used to migrate from Brittany to the Charente for the winter I used to drive my Kubota into the back of my old lwb Transit. I was more worried about the strength of the folding aluminium ramps than the floor of the van. I did install 5t rated titanium load anchor points front and back to make sure it stayed in place. Wasn't a mini digger but a mini tractor.
I didn't want to leave it in Brittany unguarded for 5 months.

So roughly you will be half a tonne overweight.

Thanks for all the advise but too heavy for the van and cannot lose half a ton. PE you have a PM. I was going to offer you the digger to use but you have one.

I suppose you could get the angle grinder out and chop all the bodywork off the van behind the cab

Or unbolt the cab and the arm to save weight. Make two trips instead of one.
