This story appeared in early editions of the Times on Saturday before it was mysteriously pulled. It seems someone in Downing Street had a conversation with someone at the Times after the early editions hit the street. As my auld granny used to say, "You couldnae be up to them." Attachment Deleted

Lord Geidt says it needs investigating.

It's enough to make you wonder if, maybe, Mr Johnson might be just a little morally suspect?

It is quite funny when you think all the things he and dictatorship friends have been up to there is always more to come out. Apparently he is going to make it illegal for train workers to go on strike. I cannot undestand why the people do not overthrow them. City bosses can have unlimited pay rises but Jo public have to accept a pay freeze.

At least there's one shortage that can't blamed on Brexit or conflict in Ukraine. Integrity.

The concern being that both the Times and the Daily Mail pulled the story after a conversation with somebody at number 10.
Is this a case of the media being controlled by a dodgy government?
Perhaps Johnson is becoming a mini Putin rather than a mini Trump?

Johnson doesn't really need an analogous narcissistic, despot. He merits consideration in his own right.

Not sure he is worthy of that.

If the rumours are to be believed, Paul Dacre of The Daily Heil is to receive a peerage from Johnson, and pensions are going to be increased next year by 10%
Who thinks a GE is on the horizon?

I hear something on the radio this morning about the triple lock being reinstated. I didn't catch any detail but I can't help thinking it somehow won't apply to expats, like the Winter Fuel Allowance.

The triple lock is being reinstated and the increase will allegedly be based on September's inflation figure which is likely to be 10% or more, good news for all UK pensioners.

Dacre has ceased to have any connection with the Daily Mail since Nov 21 & Mr Sunak announced the reintroduction of triple lock in his statement to the commons a few weeks back. Maybe the batteries in your radio need changing.
