Enjoying the Ladies Euro footy championship.
England looked good v Austria though NI were outclassed by a tidy Norway side. Spain hammered a usefulbFinnish side and a very compétant German side look very good v a decent looking Denmark outfit.
Ladies footy is improving all the time, well I’m certainly enjoying it anyway.

Women's football is far more honest than the men's. The girls don't fall to the ground in agony at the slightest contact and don't argue wih the referee. A pleasure to watch. An added bonus ie that the majority of them are better looking than the men.

Ummm maybe but it will interesting to see the analysis at HT of how England got the first penalty tonight...contact in the box, yes....enough to force the attacker to the ground..not convinced... Anyhow regardless of that they ...oh, and there's the fourth... BTW the French ladies team looked very useful last night...

Well as it turns out all three BBC pundits didn't think it was a pen, I thought putting it politely it was "soft" and certainly smacked of some behaviour imported from the men's game... Yes there was a bit of contact as the attacker rolled around the defender but the subsequent apparent trip and fall was more than a little exaggerated...still all that matters ultimately is the Ref thought it was a pen.. All that doesn't take away from what looks like being like a great performance.

Sorry but to me it's pretty boring stuff. The ladies have a long way to go until they can be seen as technically correct, most of the teams with little idea are being thrashed as they are still amateurs, so for me it's not a true "competition" as such. AS I said, sorry but that is how I see it and the talking before the game is just ridiculous chit chat....all this talk of great pass and brilliant goal, not for me they weren't but there you go. It will be many years until it gets anywhere near the mens game.....

In no time at all, the women's game will match the men's game. Talent ... Skill ... Genitalia.

Maybe, but does it have to match the mens or any other game ?
It’s a separate entity to be appreciated and enjoyed or not.
I don’t consciously compare the Prem with the Championship or Mens RL with the Ladies game as it’s pointless.

It doesn't matter to me anymore. It's not the same game I invested much of my spare cash in when I was younger. In the 22 years of this century I've gone to one paying match, Rangers v Inter Milan. I think it was a draw. My remark before was tongue in cheek but is a direction were heading in.

Another cracking game last night as France set up a semi final clash with Germany. France have looked the best side for me but the germans look their usual ‘efficient’ as usual. The other semi features England v Sweden. England were fortunate to get past Spain in the last round and a tidy Swedish outfit scored a late ( deserved) winner to defeat Belgium in the quarters. A superb tournament so far, here’s looking forward to Tuesday and Wednesday for the semis.

Blimey, talk about negativity… Why compare it to the Mens game ? Why? Well pretty obvious really. Like some on here and I hazard a guess, played at a high standard, so my thoughts on football are naturally based on the game I know. Not negative whatsoever, it is how I see the ladies game now. Just because I don't see it how you, or others do, doesn't in any way mean I am being negative, it is purely my view and when I see teams being thrashed after listening to the pre-match talking where the pundits are bigging up the English opposition and then it's 6-0 at the break..............Basically most are still amateurs, save a few sides.

As Seaboots says, the French game yesterday was a worth watching.
No goalie rush, playing the whole pitch (not just a 10ft strip down the middle), great passing, no pathetic running at a player just because she has the ball.
The semis should be worth watching.
