You all live in France and worry more about the next Prime Minister in England than most of the folk I know here in England. By the way name calling etc is childish in the least. Don't bother getting all vexed up about my reply because I do not read replies via notifications. Yes I know JohnnyD Chippenham. England doesn't have a Prime Minister.

Neither does Britain. There's a clown faking it, but few are buying into it.

It's not really about who we want, rather who we think will win. I think you are correct and that the thicko will now win. I did mean want rather than who I think. I still think Penny Mordaunt but I want Liz Truss because she'll be funnier. Well the person I would have wanted would have been Ken Clarke, but I'm not sure he is still alive as I live in France. Maybe Joseph will know.

I don’t understand why Ken Clarke's existence would be dependent on your place of abode. I have to agree though, for a Tory and a politician there was something genuine about him. He is alive btw.

To quote THHGTTU, another Douglas Adams gem, "The major problem--one of the major problems, for there are several--one of the many major problems with governing people is that of whom you get to do it; or rather of who manages to get people to let them do it to them. To summarize: it is a well-known fact that those people who must want to rule people are, ipso facto, those least suited to do it. To summarize the summary: anyone who is capable of getting themselves made President should on no account be allowed to do the job. End quote

I call it the 'greasy pole' disease.
Most people who put themselves forward to be an MP want to do their best for their constituents and start off with good intentions, unfortunately once they start to climb the 'greasy pole' they often become a completely different person and blindly loyal to the person who invited them onto said pole, those that love the power cling on for dear life and sell their soul, any dissenters are kicked off.

You really can't make this stuff up. The day after the hottest day ever recorded in the UK, tory wannabee PM Sunak pledges to continue the ban on onshore wind farms. Apparently the toffs are not impressed with all this green krap stuff, especially if it affects their view from their million pound plus homes. Best ask that nice Mr Putin if he can continue to supply the UK with that no view affecting fossil fuel, in between bombing the **** out of Ukraine. Talk about a party totally out of touch with the public. I must admit that after watching a video of the tories telling the truth I am still in shock, although I must admit I found it really amusing. Enjoy: link
