Someone likened the whole leadership contest as changing your top when you’ve sh*t your trousers. Sums it up well I think. They might just as well ask, 'which disease would you prefer, Aids or Cancer ?' vote now.. Why would anyone with an ounce of intelligence debate/discuss anything with the quality of people who post the above comments. Vile & disgusting comments you should be ashamed of. Where did you get your Prefect badge?

What a load of balls.
She is almost as great an asset to any of the opposition as Johnson was.

Dear God. Is that really the best they can do?
I should have entered my labrador for Tory leader.

What a total crock of sh*t. Kent was a great producer of apples and pears. Vast orchards when I first arrived there. Today it's covered with huge anonymous housing estates and tarmac. Sending British pork to Beijing? Not so long ago there were headlines about a pig cull because there was nobody willing to work in the abattoirs, etc. Going to Paris to a trade fair? Paris is in the EU where we now have to compete with every other non-EU nation. Someone needs to tell her.
"We've never had it so good." What planet has she been living on?

I don’t know if anyone watched Peston yesterday Martin Lewis had a lot of very interesting things to say, the one that grabbed me was a prediction that people will just stop paying their energy bills when they can’t afford, he sees it as a poll tax moment. Lots of other stuff as well about housing, mortgages, but meanwhile no one is running the country and getting to grips with real problems, this tax cut stuff is all they can talk about and for the vast majority of the population it’s irrelevant as they’re mostly too poor to pay tax.

the one that grabbed me was a prediction that people will just stop paying their energy bills when they can’t afford, Certainly food for thought. Or will people just keep taking loans or max out the credit cards. So many have lived on credit all their lives they think it is all there is. Affording energy and food will be the big one world wide. Climate change will be at the end of the queue.

Tax cuts are populist but are the wrong way to go to alleviate the current cost of living crisis, the money would be better used by directly subsidising energy bills.

I was suprised to learn that only 56% were taxpayers

For those of you that can see twitter, I give you ......Truss If I were you Joseph, I would be contemplating hari kari if this is what you will have leading you by the nose! It is truly cringe-worthy! I mean, look at her with her mentally retarded smile. Can you imagine what this is going to look like on the world stage? And the apples! what a shambles - and everyone lapping it up with their clapping. The reason you tw*t that two thirds of your apples are imported is that a, you made Kent into a giant truck park to cater for all the trucks importing your food, and b, you voted to send all those apple pickers home! Gawd I laff each time I see a miserable apple farmer on the TV shedding crocodile tears over the situation. A self made situation...

I should have entered my labrador for Tory leader. I was going to say not to worry, your Labrador's cousin is already there to fly the breed's flag, then I thought, what an insult to Labradors.

The happiest counties on the planet are high tax countries. Although how that tax is spent is important. I think I'm right in saying the UK, despite allegedly being one of the richest countries in the world, has one of the highest levels of poverty in the developed world. Eradicate poverty, give all of our young people an equal chance and watch how the rest sorts itself out.
