Thank you. Will have a look.
Plot Martin (Fabrice Luchini), an ex-Parisian with a deep appreciation for Gustave Flaubert, has settled in a village in Normandy as a baker. He sees a British couple moving into an old property across the road. Their names, Gemma (Gemma Arterton) and Charles Bovery (Jason Flemyng), echo those of the leading characters in Flaubert's 1856 masterpiece Madame Bovary. Martin engages with the young couple and observes that Gemma's behaviour replicates that of her namesake, including romantic and sexual liaisons that suggest she is headed for a tragic finale like that of the novel. He intervenes but cannot alter the inevitable.

deadline.com/2022/02/freddie-mercury-the-final-act-doc-the-cw-1234931879/normally I watch very little TV since the BBC shrank its Sky footprint years ago. It did me a big favour as I had far better things to do rather than watch what I consider to be garbage that masquerades as entertainment, which I did far too much of when it was free to air. Saying that, I really like to watch good films such as the one in op (preferably at a cinema) some docs, cabaret and comedy.

Tonight on ARTE "Swimming Pool" (VM). VM Version multilingual. Am I right that this means you can choose to watch either in French or in English with French subtitles? How do you make the choice?

I am sure someone will be able to explain it better than me, but on our tv I choose it from the menu langue audio and then select VO. This will give you whatever language in which the film was originally made. You should have french subtitles.

Well, I was watching via internet so my choice was French or German! Struggled to understand finer points in a few places but overall OK. Thanks.

Much enjoyed it second time around. In fact there were no subtitles. Dialogue was a mixture of french and english.
Film was followed by an interesting documentary on the Emmanuelle films and Sylvia Kristel.
