Have you missed the point? Terrorists 3000 world trade centre, goodies(?) 1. I think that is the difference. How about , 3000 WTC
More than 200,000 Iraqis
About 50,000 Afgans
and 7000 American army ?

Vietnam.
Could the up-side of a this trouble be that the elected leaders of the USA really were only hitting the bad guys and their women and children?

I suppose that fits in with keeping an expanding arms market going.

I find it ironic that the 'we're all doomed' predictions following Trump's election as president could pale into insignificance with the real and long lasting damage Biden might do if he continues with the current US foreign policy strategy.

Afghanistan withdrawal, Ukraine, drone killing of Zawahiri and now Taiwan all within the space of 12 months.

Easy to say In hindsight. I think it was always on the cards that the Taliban would return to Afghanistan and have no idea or the reasoning of the withdrawal.
I think that the drone killing is one of dozens and makes good publicity for many, not to mention keeping American industry afloat.

You asked for examples of the US's foreign policy under Biden that could affect us all and I've given you four, just how many do you want? The doddery old git is likely to seek re-election in 2024 so standby for more inspired policy decisions. Trump announced that the US were going to withdraw from Afghanistan but no one including the UK etc expected them to just up and leave within a few weeks and let the Taliban takeover, as for the drone strike, it was a PR stunt to bolster Biden at home just like Obama's killing of Bin Laden in 2011 yet will simply get more recruits for al-Qaeda.

No specific number. I was trying to understand your reasoning.
If only M.T. and Ronnie could see where the road they took led to, would it have made any difference I wonder.

People need to bear in mind that the Americans are only concerned with their own immediate and long term plans. Remember also that the "collateral damage" issue is rarely considered in these plans. The damage can be human, infrastructure, or economic to both enemies and allies alike. Keeping their armaments industries busy and profitable is a useful side effect. Drones keep the US body bag count low.

In relation to some points made above re MT and Reagan. While MT was in power Gorbechov visited London and Glasnost became a reality. The future looked bright. Maybe the mistake that was made was not then supporting Russia to rebuild. It is only since Putin has been in power that relations have soured.
As for the drone strike from what I have read it was a non explosive missile that deployed blades just before impact. Live by the sword……. This method was chosen to avoid civilian casualties but could only be viable when the target was in view on the balcony
