My other half can’t eat cooked cheese so pizza establishments are low on our list for a night out, I do occasionally make myself a spinach and ricotta, when I do have one in a restaurant I find they to big to finish so I think the portion is the way to go, I actually prefer a nice flammkuchen which are not quite so enormous. If not in Germany the ones from Lidl are acceptable.

Pizza was the very first 'meal' we ate in France, in 1980, after two days of travelling. It was a word we recognised Bloody awful things! The sooner the French decide that they're not 'cool' any more, the better. Between pizza joints and chinese/vietnamiens, the traditional French resto is becoming an endangered species

We don't consider Pizza as real food , just a fill in on the weekend. Mostly not good and usually comes with indigestion the next day !

And that's another thing.....kebab meat in France. Chicken, not lamb. OK, by the time it's chopped, seasoned, spiced and reconstituted it's unrecognisable anyway, but who are they kidding? It should be lamb or goat.....

Kebap - from where we get kebab - simply means roasted and so could be just about any meat. I do accept however that where kebabs are traditionally made goat or mutton are the most likely ingredients.
