I was very tempted to bid on a nearly new machine like that at an auction, it went very very cheap.
But by then I had already gone down the repointing and projected crepi paint route.

These are very ambitious projects and clearly carried out by talented people using the correct equipment. Our house could do with you working here while I tackle something much easier. It is a reminder that there is still a good number of skilled people who are capable of extensive renovation of run-down French properties, either for themselves or as an occupation. I manage relatively minor tasks and I am glad my wife insisted on buying a house here, 22 years ago, that was mostly complete.
