This year in Brittany we have been over run with wasps but in saying that we have hardly seen/heard mosquitoes and the flies numbers are down, so maybe the wasps are sorting them out.
Our velux windows upstairs in the bedrooms we keep on the trickle vents but still get insects coming in through the night, is there any suggestions to keeping an airflow and insects out, I have tried the mozzie netting but that is a short term solution, I have thought about making some wooden frames to hang up with the mozzie mesh inside but that is a big job with 7 velux windows.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated and any links to products that you can recommend.

Only your wooden frame solution will work.
I have spent several months battling and losing to Tiger Mosquitos, most days I look like the Elephant Man with the swollen bumps.
The only moderate success I have had is with the caravan if I follow strict protocoles, mosquito nets closed over all windows & roof vents 24/7, severely limiting ever going in through the door, not difficult as with the current temps I cannot bear to be inside for more than a few seconds till 2 or 3am, never leaving any lights on inside or even if I get through the door quickly 50 mosquitos will have beaten me to it.
I have a pleated thermal blind/flyscreen on the bedroom ceiling vent, its either one or the other, if I sleep with the blind closed hundreds will come in via the tiny gaps in the pleats during the night and I will be up all night swatting them, the place looks like an abbatoir or a slash movie with my own blood splattered everywhere so I have to either sleep with the flyscreen drawn and be cooked by the rising sun in the morning (remember the earliest I can go to bed is 3am) or wear earplugs to not be bothered by their buzzing around my head and let them drink their fill.
Having had Malaria twice and nearly dying from the Falciparum type seeing or hearing aggressive mosquitos buzzing around my head is very disturbing and does not make for restfull sleep.
I have just put up Action mesh door curtain flyscreens to my sous sol and want to make up some frames like you for the abattant windows, if you find a source for the mesh material please let me know or if anyone else knows which national chain store stocks it please shout!

Haven’t had a big problem this year. There do seem to be less mozzies around here, and have hardly seen a wasp. Flies are about as frequent as in previous years. We close the windows late morning and drop the shutters to about one-third open when it starts to get very warm . I normally start the bedroom mozzie hunt at about 2130 to kill any unwanted creatures.

I have bought fibre glass (I think) mesh from Castorama and more recently aluminium from Carrefour. I made a flyscreen door and the fibre glass stuff lasted a good few years but when it deteriorated I replaced it with the alu.

Velux do a mosquito blind that fits their windows, not cheap but they fit and work well www.veluxshop.fr/tous-les-produits/stores-velux/moustiquaires?_gl=1*b1v6o9*_up*MQ..&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI477_66u8-QIVlBWLCh0rPANLEAAYASAAEgJD2fD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
