Well risking steering back off course, I was surprised to find one of our restaurants had 2 vegetarian dished (1 of which was vegan) on it menu of 5 main courses. It is a bit of a tourist area but this was before the season started so I think your comment about veggie Brits may miss the mark a bit. More and more the French are embracing vegetarianism - and just to make the point further, there was nor real price advantage in taking a non-meat choice. I agree. Since we’ve moved here we’ve noticed more and more veggie options on menus. We have veggie friends who come every year and it’s getting a lot easier to eat out apart from just pizza places. I see more veggie options in the main supermarkets now too… The price advantage is that there is more profit in a non meat menu!

It's the retired Colonel Gussets of Tonbridge Wells and their ilk that will make the choice. The poor people will get their say at the next GE. You have more optimism than me. I fear we'll have frozen or starved to death by then. From a Tory perspective, as plans go, it's a bloody good one. I look forward to meeting you all in heaven. Shame J and W won't be there. They're irredeemable.
