And for a bulb that can be had for a couple of quid on the internet the final bill will curl your hair. I will never own one of the newer computerised monochrome ugly devices they call modern cars. My father and I were just talking of this; he and my mother each get a new car every 2 years for as long as I can remember... I told him to drive my "as new" 69 Chevy pickup that is still parked in the garage back home ready for me on return but he cannot shift the gears anymore ( 3 speed on the steering column & clutch)..
Known as '3 on a tree manual' to petrol heads

No. It's a Hellishly expensive ($40-90 thousand) Ford all electric pickup in the states. Probably has enough torque to pull a freight train...............about 230 miles. It should appeal to the "Eco-aware" rednecks.

It is available in a huge diesel model, even bigger gasoline and i think an electric model. my only problem with it is a total aluminum body.
Saves MPG (e)instead of GPM(/e) I guess...
the generator is a 110v generator built in 2,4kw to 7,2kw. Useful for construction sites or disasters.

F150? Is that made by Boing or Gruman? As an engineer I would think you would know the best selling vehicle in the world...

If the engine is truly siezed, then a quote of €150 is not a sensible quote. Parts needed will be 1. Gasket set 2. new piston and rings 3. possibly new barrel 4 possibly new big end bearings If it disassembles easily, then a bodge clean up of the piston would do it, but then you will have a working but damaged unit. The piston might need changing but more than likely the rings and to hone out the barrel (sleeve) + the new gasket set and oil..
Definitely not €2000 worth of work.. You might find that the person is way to busy or backlogged and that is just the price for him to fix yours.. Builders, electricians, plumbers all do the same thing when they are booked solid.

As an engineer I would think you would know the best selling vehicle in the world... Honda Cub motorcycle, I believe. I don't know about the two wheelers but the best seller in second place is the Ford F series pickup truck at 40 million sold, and in first place is The Toyota Corolla with 43 million sold.

I'm not a fan of Ford since I read that they used old stock side valve engines in the first Ka models and looking in a showroom at new model Ford cars recently, I saw some fitted with drum rear brakes, probably also leftovers.

Just a warning, I was expecting my delivery of my new ride on, the Co. 67-Agriservices has a very professional website, I checked them out and they have been going for 20 years, lots of stock and keen prices, I even have an account with them which shows my basket with my ride on mower in it. OH looked them up on Facebook and 4 days ago there was warnings from people expecting deliveries, the company has posted that an ex employee had set the site up and it is all fake. In fact the company actually doesn’t have its own website.
Hopefully I paid on my Halifax clarity Visa card so i have contacted them.
I have even had an email from the fake company saying there is a delay in my delivery and it will arrive on Friday.

I understand why you were excited about the good value they offered. I visited the site just browse and found a very tempting model. The site fooled me as well. Thanks for the early warning.

VW’s state of the art ID3 has rear drum brakes. Mind you with their regeneration system EVs are easy on their brakes.

Rear drum brakes are not such a particularly bad idea. They make it easier to do double duty as a parking brake, and because the highest proportion of braking is achieved by the fronts anyway, their efficiency is not as critical as one would assume. They always need to be weaker than the fronts. If not the rear end would lock up under hard braking and things could get a little exciting in the wet.
