Still waiting for mine. But it didn't arrive until the 3rd week of Sept last year so I don't anticipate it arriving any day soon.

Have just received message from Impots - "Votre avis d'impôt sera disponible dans votre espace particulier à partir du 04/10/2023.
En raison du retard de votre avis, la date de paiement est fixée au 15/11/2023."
Is there anyway on the secure messaging to reply or do I have to send a new message?

deebee What a gorgeous cat! Is he yours? Yes he is. He was born in our woodshed and we took him (Monty) in together with his brother and sister 13 years ago. He is a very gentle cat but behaves more like a dog than a cat. Still have the two boys but their sister went missing after about one year. Monty is the only long haired one. We had the previous year taken in two kittens from the same mother as Monty and one of them was long haired. Unfortunately she got killed on the road. We later took in their mother - the vet estimated she was over 20 years old and she was a wonderful, gentle cat.

He was born in our woodshed and we took him (Monty) in together with his brother and sister 13 years ago. I was hoping he was a foundling but as he's so beautiful I wondered also if he was one of those expensive designer cats. Glad he's not. I adore all tabbies - I have one who was found with his mum and 2 sisters just over a year ago when the kittens were about 6 weeks - but I've never seen a long-haired one. Monty is exceptionally pretty. Well done you for homing him and his family.

I wish my stray cat was more loving but I have to accept him for what he is. He's a mixture of off white and grey, long haired with startling light blue eyes. Won't let me touch him even after 3 years. Gets the best of everything - he's just tucking into fresh chicken breast as we speak having finished off his raw egg and organic milk. See what I mean!!

Well, excuse me but I call that ungrateful !!! He must be a real feral, no human contact when very young/badly mistreated. He's struck lucky with you fortunately.

I think you're right. Most cats, once they've worked out you're harmless, come round. Not this boy. He must have had a terrible experience. I don't mind, I'm not the sort that only gives to receive. He'll be well fed until he moves on.

Our last two arrivals have been like that. The 2021 late arrival took a year before he would pluck up courage to come close by when he needed feeding. Now "happy" to be stroked. The 2022 arrival is still very hesitant to come close but will happily ask to be fed. I have no hopes for this years arrival - completely feral and unlike the previous ones who were kittens when they first arrived, this one is adult. Still happy to leave food out where he can sneak in and steal it though.
PS. Back on track. I am still awaiting my avis. I can understand that there may be issues since our income has fallen. They'll let me know when they are ready.

Maybe we could have a 'cats' thread? Or 'pets' thread? Perhaps 'Our Pets' sub-forum under Animals? Sorry! I see we have a Pets forum. I'll post there.

This is less depressing than talking about taxes, especially worrying about dates of tax demand arrivals which will drop when they drop when they drop when they drop. Dont worry guys, it will happen!

I think there's a natural assumption that not receiving an Avis on time could mean a 'controle' is looming but now that there is clearly a big backlog people are more reassured that the delay is probably nothing more sinister than the Impots still having to sort out the Bien Immobilier mess.

To pay income tax in France, the income has to be above €29,009 /year for a couple , that is a pretty good income for retirees. Especially as there are many ways to get tax cuts.
