Sorry, I started the thread and should have updated following my visit to the UK last week. I took with me both the final certificate and the initial documentation (received following first jab) which showed both names. I had them side by side in a plastic wallet. We travelled from France to UK by P & O Ferries. The certs. were looked at but not queried. Return journey by Eurotunnel and I don't think they were even looked at. We were just asked if we were vaccinated. Thanks for the update.. Funnily enough the fact that the initial documentation carries both names has just come up in a similar debate about this problem that is going on in another travel specific forum. One would hope for check-in agents and others to display pragmatism/commonsense if presented with the extra paperwork but some organizations have drummed pragmatism out of their workforce on fear of dismissal and they will follow the script on their IPad.

Will be flying Easyjet Bordeaux to Berlin in a couple of weeks for a family visit. I hope it won't be a problem then.

After reading Amanda's post, I went back and checked the individual first and second vaccination certificates and, sure enough, it says the married name nee maiden name. I had never looked at those certs since getting the main digital cert from Ameli, but I feel that will be sufficient now. If it was accepted by DFDS, I'm sure it would be accepted by BF. I don't know about the airlines though.

I have a horrible feeling that ATM it may depend who you are dealing with and which airline… If I had been able to read the actual script the check-in agent had in front of them yesterday on their iPad it might have unambiguously stated that the traveller’s passport and their EU format vaccination completed certificate had to display exactly the same details.

That being the case Plog, it would be helpful if you named the airline.
We know that several ferries by name have no problem and that Easyjet are OK with a birth certificate. We really should compile a list of problem and problemless companies.

Exile,
For reasons various I’m not going to name the airline but I’ve left a few clues along the way (e.g. mention of LHR).
Do we actually know Easyjet will be “OK with a birth certificate”…AFAIK that hasn’t been established yet by anybody here?
I think until ladies with a certificate maiden name/passport name mismatch have actually tried to fly with for example Air France, BA, Easyjet we won’t know the reality of how each airline is planning to handle this….

Having read Amandj's post, I've just checked my two bits of paper and on the first page it states the following: 'Patient(e) my married name nee maiden name and then under 'Informations de la vaccination' it says 'Je, soussigne(e), certifie avoir examine : my married name nee my maiden and christian name etc etc. So maybe it would be worth uploading or carrying this bit of paper as well? Which presents something of a problem for us. They took away our first round certificates and only replaced them with the passe sanitaire - no other documents.

Digging around there’s been plenty of traffic on this subject on various forums since it’s not just British passport holders that are effected…unfortunately so far no really authoritative answers, e.g. Flyertalk, CDG.

UPDATE: Just arrived back from trip to Berlin with Easyjet. I offered up my vaccination certificate with fingers crossed on the way out and it wasn't even looked at. On the way back, we were just asked at check-in whether we were vaccinated and didn't have to show anything.
