Thanks, I would blame it on Covid haze and not my eyesight!

The last club that I belonged to that communicated by E-mail stopped doing so 5 years ago with a change of President, I had changed to them because of the exact same problem with previous ones, I was fed up with going to training sessions or gym classes that were cancelled & their way of informing people was to put a message on Facebook, they all took E-mail addresses and phone numbers but never used them, I was amongst many that turned up and got angry, towards the end I was the only one and in the only club that had been communicating in a normal and correct fashion so I had no choice but to join them.

On moving to Bergerac I went to the Forum des associations in my village and also the huge one (400 exposants) in Bergerac, I asked the question of every club I was interested in, 100% of them communicated only by Facebook.

I realised that I am the one out of step for not staring at my phone screen the whole time (it never leaves the home) and not wanting notifications of rubbish from the apps, my new phone does not even light up an LED or give any indication that a notification has come in my absence unless you fire it up and go looking, again it made me realise that everyone else has theirs with them all the time and looks at them constantly.

I was also refused membership of the gym d'entretien sessions 500m from my home because "the trainer does not want and will not accept men in the group" I was told I could do Marche Nordique instead if I wanted, I mean why not, they are the same after all
