Looks like Bob Hoskins was right. It also looks like it is the anti cv vaccinations that cause these aberrations. I have had four vaccinations and wonder if things will get worse if I have any more. Also, I thought the excessive amount of phlegm that I produce at various times was due to my op. In the light of this post and the experience of others it seems that it is because the anti cv vaccine. I am due for an appointment with my surgeon soon and will see what he says about it. I wonder if any other readers of this thread have used a ‘goutier’ or gum-shield ?
Edit Seaboots did not talk but he wrote: ‘It’s like the canals were blocked.’ I wonder, could it be that extra mucus produced causes this effect, or, is it because effects within the nervous system due to the valency of the molecules in the vaccine?

Yes nifty, I have too much phlegm being produced which peaked during Covid in my case. I’ve always had some kind of problem with it and have usually found relief with Karvol or Perubore inhalations. I do have a gouttière relating to muscular problems with the jaws etc which hasn’t made much of a difference with the phlegm. I never had a problem with phlegm etc until about 30 years ago when I worked on a golf course and inhaled all the pollen and dust etc due to the grass cutters etc.

My worst attack was when it all started and there were no vaccines. My last was after my over 75 jab within a day or so.

I was prescribed a gouttière to use in conjunction with product continuing fluoride to help retain my teeth.
I am interested in finding out exactly how and why the phlegm is produced. I think it might be similar to that which formed in my lungs and resulted me suffering with asthma. I think that there is little doubt that this was initially caused in 1982 by my working in enclosed areas where the atmosphere was contaminated with glass-fibre particles.without wearing proper breathing equipment I am a bit mystified as to where the is stuff that I am currently hawking up is coming from and if it originates in the alveoli, wonder why I have not had any symptoms of asthma since the operation to remove the tumours in lymph glands and one tonsil a year ago. Since then I have really been through the mill and have been prescribed a bewildering array of drugs including fentanyl to overcome the pain caused by swallowing food. I managed without it.
Although the presence of this phlegm causes me no great pain or insurmountable hardship it can be a PIA at times. I find that gargling with solution teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda in a beaker of water greatly assists in solving the problem of its removal.
I wonder what pearls of wisdom my surgeon will cast in my direction tomorrow and if he can give me any advice on my damaged hip which has somewhat curtailed my exercise regime at present.

I have COVID for the first time. I'm fully vaccinated but feeling very rough (akin to when I had swine flu - many years ago). My son has been visiting from Majorca and we were out and about all last week but the only indoor contact with people would have been on a quick shop at the start of the week. We even ate outside restaurants as the weather has been great. First symptom but didn't put it down to Covid, was reduced hearing. I kept asking everyone to stop mumbling and for the last 3 days, heavy cold, sore throat, lost voice and feverish. Tested on Saturday so I could keep away from my son, so that he could return home and because I had several appointments this week. Son is fine, (he has had Covid in the last couple of months) but OH has sore throat and has been coughing. They have left on the 5 hr round trip to airport. Fully masked up. I just wonder where I picked it up.

I have the same puzzle, the obvious was a 50th birthday party on the Saturday where the group of people had been through 2 Superspreader events before so were all fully vaccinated and naturally protected on top, trouble was my symptoms came too soon after 2 days, 36 hours for the first with hindsight and no-one else has had any symptoms, other than that it can only have been a brief exchange outside and inside a garage on Thursday buying some stuff off Fessbook or a queue at a caisse.
My symptoms and sufferings were very moderate, first indication lots of heavy sneezing, not unusual for me, then what seemed to be diaorrhea but was more explosive flatulence, next day mild sore throat, bunged up nose and a total lack of energy and appetite, when I found I was shuffling like someone in their 80's and was struggling with stairs I decided to get tested.
After that it was mainly fatigue, appetite came back after losing 2kg, I think I have lost some sense of smell, 3 days ago I felt better & worked hard & could do nothing the next day, 226 active calories compared to 2893 the day before and 2343 yesterday, still down from my usual.
Last night was the first night I slept well (4 hours deep sleep) and awoke refreshed even though I did little else then sleep during the worst of the virus.
In hindsight the earliest clue was an increased resting heart rate, I don't have a thermometer here but I did have a fever, dont know how high.
I feel great today!

I did a voluntary paid test 2 days after the first, the day I felt better as I had been invited with the other new residents to meet the Maire and the CM and was considering attending wearing a mask & gloves, it was still positive (they were sure it would be) so I didn't go.

pcpa must have been difficult for you on your own and in your caravan. At least the weather is still mild. Glad you are feeling better now. My 'cold' symptoms came Friday afternoon, so that would put me at day 4, a better sleep last night but still in bed now. I've cancelled an xray for a trapped nerve in my neck and physio this week, so hoping that my recovery will be quick as I need to get this other problem sorted. OH on his return trip from Bordeaux and says he doesn't feel too bad- a bit heady, sneezing and coughing.

It was no hardship at all.
I have the energy to do things now but not the stamina although I don't know that until its too late.
