Hello, I seem to have been locked out of Facebook. Apparently, the only way I can get back in is to give a photo id of either my passport or driving license. Surely this is not a requirement to get back onto this site? I don't feel comfortable about giving FB my personal information. I tried changing my password but nothing seems to work. Ant suggestions would be gratefully received.

I would have thought Fartbook already has enough personal and private data without wanting images of the above mentioned documents. But then having that stuff opens up new third party markets, like the ones offering bogus I.D. for a price.

Is there a remote possibility your FB account could have been hacked into ? Is there another way you can contact FB direct to query this ? Hopefully someone who has more knowledge of this kind of problem will be along soon.

About as dodgy as Google sending messages to my Android phone every day saying that I must help them comply with the law and give my date of birth. I gave up in the end and put in a DOB, up popped a message saying "Are you really 122 years old?" I replied yes and it was accepted. The next day was a groundhog day, - "help us comply with the (not) law.............." but it hasn't happened since.

I think I might now try changing my DOB and see if it will allow me to be 300 years old!

I went into Leclerc and went to update my loyalty card as I'd forgotten my number. The girl on Acceuil asked, Do you still live at xyz? Oui. Is your name still abc? Oui. And is your DOB still 123? Non, je l'ai change. She didn't see it was a dumb question, that deserved a stupid answer ........... Google seems to have a similar mindset.
