Perhaps I am unfortunate, but I have also never had any hole saws rust either. The only replacements that have been made were due to the teeth dulling after using on harder materials. There are hole saws in my box that are shortly to celebrate their 30th birthday without any sign of rust, surface or otherwise.

With my selection of about 50 I haven't had any signs of rust. My general tool selection however is a constant battle against it. The only ones that seem to be immune are the most expensive ones with heavy chrome plating over a mirror polished finish. All the rest have to be wrapped in vapour paper to survive. So much humidity. Changes of temperature. Glorious Brittany. I even get dripping condensation coming down like rain in my van and metal garden sheds. Things stored inside have to be covered in plastic sheets and old umbrellas to stay "dry".

I have 3 wriggly tin Roulottes de Chantier containing pretty much everything of value that I own including soft furniture, beds etc, in Picardie they were running with condensation, after lining them with 20mm polystyrene insulation there are no more drips, only the wind driven rain sometimes.
The biggest problem is persuading the stuff to stay stuck to the sides and roof although now they are so jam packed that they cannot fall anyway.
I am hoping the climate here will be less damaging to the contents, I dont have any choice for the next couple of years.

Metal garden sheds were always a daft idea but given the price of timber sheds in France especially these days its no surprise that people buy them.
And whatever daft sod thought saving the money on not having a timber floor (which would in turn be raised up on battens) would be a good cost saving idea deserves shooting, placing a shed directly on a paved or concrete slab is just plain stupid, same for the timber chalets and garages.
