My French is not quite perfect but I'm sure on the radio today power cuts are on the way here next year. They are talking about shutting schools in the morning and telephone networks getting switched off. Our houses are normally all electric. I might be wrong but I'm sure I'm not. And just to cheer you up further doctors costs are going up they are not getting enough money.

You kind of heard right Mysty although I think these were ideas rather than set in stone policies.
Doctors are on strike today and tomorrow, train strikes start again at the weekend and some airline staff will be on strike over Christmas and the New Year.
Things aren't looking great.

If the cost to the doctor goes up then the refund from the state will go up as well - no problem

You would have thought after Brexit COVID lockdowns war in Ukraine things would have to get better. Ats is in Scotland for a couple of months and says it's bleak with so many empty shops in town centers. Who knows what's coming next. About 15 years ago my mum used to moan about how hard it's running the family business she had it easy compared to how things are now. They would have been out of business now.

I thought people on here said power cuts would never happen in France as EDF would just reduce everyones power usage on Linkys to a minimum?

Thanks for the link, it may be handy for those who have mobile phones. I was hoping the service might be able to send alerts by email, but no. Too much to expect in this modern mobile world.

Person, myself, not people, and I stand by it.

I'm always rather bemused by postings like this. Pointing out UK problems does not cure the French ones.
